City Sailor. This sailor cuts an elegant figures as he navigates the metropolitan boulevards. His wardrobe is full of timeless articles updated by touches of colour borrowed by nautical signals and adapted to his daily style. With an eye constantly on the horizon, this is tradition and seafaring spirit, with sweaters reminiscent of military tricots from early last century, work trousers graced by details worthy of uniforms, and shoes from the Captain's locker, transformed by an ageing treatment.

White and blue with flashes of nautical signal yellow. Marina Yachting's City Sailor makes a spectacular entrance with his double-sided cotton Pickot, stretch trousers with embroidery on the inside and contrasting piping, anchor rivets instead of buttons, loose-knit fisherman sweater, washed T-shirt with graffiti and military style canvas shoes with vulcanised soles. Coming ashore in style, he sports a yellow waxed deep-sea fishing jacket over his impeccable poplin shirt, or a faded American jersey safari jacket. His Blazer is classic, with stripes gracing a new-generation waxed cotton, ideal for the high seas but also perfectly cool and pleasing in the stuffy city heat. Yellow conjures up sunshine even if the weather isn't exactly a summer holiday. Antiqued details produce a retro flavour but with a modern twist.

A regatta of colours. On weekends, our City Sailor actually sails. His classic yachting style means an electric indigo, bright orange and Yacht Club red. Ivory and blue provide a platform for the colour-blocking designs characterizing the sweatshirts, urban-version waxed technical jackets, polo shirts, university cardigans, suede or cotton deck moccasins with a logo on the heel and sail bags fastened with painters. The Sailor wind jacket is reversible and has a contrasting cord drawstring and sail number 1972, a playful allusion to the brand's year of birth.

Cream and blue with embroidery and coats of arms, sand and putty colours and a Sixties khaki. Stripes play a primary role here, in all sizes and on the whole range of fabrics. Every garment reveals a detail: the under-collars in the piquet shirts, patches on the polos, braid on the lining of the ultra-lightweight trench coats, ribbon in the multi-pocket linen jackets, blue, indigo and pale denim mélange in the used-effect trousers, contrasting stitching on icy greys enlivened by red profiling. The Parka is deliberately creasy looking, as befits a seasoned globetrotter. Outerwear is often reversible for greater versatility.

In the Beach line, the swimming boxers have been old-washed to give the impression of sea salt and fade the otherwise luxuriant colours. The season's beach, in fact, is lobster, cherry, mint, turquoise and mango. White and grey grounds are used in the faded polo shirts, beach towels, canvas moccasins (with cotton profiling) and colourful waxed bags.

CromoStile. Marine elegance explores colour. A summer of subtle yet brilliant details and a leit motif of blue and white enlivened by tones borrowed from nautical signals.

The curtain rising on summer 2013, from Saint-Tropez to Positano, is made of satin-finish lacquer, memory taffeta and waxed cotton. A single style runs throughout the line. The iconic blue Pickot conceals and reveals marker-buoy yellow hems. Instead of the spring raincoat, a cape that entertains with its bright daytime yellow and rigorous evening blue. The duffel coat hugs closer at the waist and graces the male model with a charming half-belt, while the women's version of the military flavour parka has become super-slim. Seafaring stripes, whether visible or concealed, bows and ribbons alongside naval pips, braiding fastened with frogs and boat necks.

Iridescent nuances of shantung-effect nylon, from wisteria to geranium red, form a purple rain of tones captured in a flower garden. The Marina Yachting woman's sporty attitude is based on urban dynamism and coloured by sailing details. Lots of jersey fabric, colour-blocking in the reversible bomber jackets, half-sleeve blouse-parkas, hot-pant bermudas and graphic knits.

The heart of Marina Yachting style: gold colour cotton inserts, braid, lurex threads running surreptitiously through sartorial weaves, broaches with cross stitch anchors standing out like medals. The key fabric here is cotton seersucker, as in the vintage-effect striped micro-jacket, the mignon safari with ¾ sleeves, the washed satin biker jacket with a bulky gold zip, the military-style but sensual skirt made of stretch gabardine, the pin-up shorts and cigarette-fit trousers. Naval emblems adorn jacquard fabrics in the shirts, knits and dresses and point up plunging backs, corsetry lacing and bands of printed patterns.

Vibrant fruit tones on white grounds define ultra-lightweight quilted jackets and jersey knit micro tops with studs, rhinestones, rouches and contrasting piping and embroidery. Mini-bomber jackets go over a range of striped and spotted T-shirts sporting original applications. Grosgrain, cotton, decorative zips and metallic contaminations form a palette of striking effects. Mustard, gold, bronze, earth, tobacco and sand blend and accompany the light blues of the sea.

A whole suitcase full of pink: hot pants and beach chemise, raffia-effect tricot knits and clouds of muslin. Gold prints, straw hats, silk scarves, sea-bags with rope handles, sandals and wooden clogs with sailors rings, flat shoes and cork wedges. Stripes and soap-bubble dots of various sizes drift across cottons, impalpable linens and transparent gauzes.
